The Crowd in Mattoon, IL started off hot with the first Title defense of the Iron Man Title. It was a 30 minute Iron Man match between former Hevyweight Champion RC Extreme against the newly crowned Iron Man champion The Rev. The battle went back on forth with RC Extreme hitting the extreme dream at the 10:17 second mark to earn the first fall. The second fall came directly after that because as soon as the two men got to their feet The Rev hit a chokeslam followed by Golgotha to earn a pin at 13:14. The Third fall went a bit longer as the Rev managed to hit Golgotha again and earn a pin at 25:14 to take a 2 to 1 advantage. RC Extreme came roaring back, but ran out of time and The Rev Retained.
Vic Viceroy came out to make some announcements. First of all he said that on November 27th, at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois the NoW would be bringing back the 'Know Your Enemy' PPV. The KYE concept is simple. It's a tag team tournament but the tag teams are drawn at random. You win the tag match, you advance. In the next round the tag teams are redrawn and you go again. When it's down to just two men, they move on to the finals to face each other one on one, the winner getting a PPV Heavyweight Title match at the 'Season's Beatings' PPV in December.
He also stated that to shake things up a bit, the first four men eliminated from tonight's PPV would be fired on the spot! He said that the NoW is searching for new talent all the time and with new talent ready to come in, it's time to trim the roster up a bit. So NO ONE in the battle royal is safe, including the three champions in the match!
In the next match the Judge squared off with Ivan Brezhnev. He earned a PPV title shot at the Bruiserweight title by defeating the big Russian. After the match he was attacked by Damien James Reiker who locked him in a crossface and wouldn't let go. NoW officials finally broke him off and he took a microphone and stated that the Bruiserweight Title was a joke. It made a mockery of real wrestling and he has come to the NoW to prove that!
Dick Shrader and Rowdy Richie had an intense battle for the #1 contendership of the ICON title. In the end Dick Shrader won the match after an amazing bout between two of the NoW's strongest men.
With help from the Irish Car Bombs, Mr. Pico earned a shot at the Heavyweight Title by defeating the Hand.
Tensions were high heading into the main event as the first four men in the bout are set to be fired! Oden leaned against the ropes, begging someone to eliminate him. Creed and Y2D both ran at Oden early but couldn't get him over the top rope. Oden finally got pissed with being beat on and double clotheslined the two members of the Flock over the top rope and onto the floor, earning them both a pink slip. The Irish Car Bombs doubled teamed Dave Jumper, but the Heavyweight Champion fought both men off and eliminated them both... much to the dismay of President Richmond in the back. The last 6 men were all safe with their jobs and were now fighting for an Iron Man title match next week. El Archangel managed to use a head scissors to eliminate Magnus Force after Force picked him up in an attempt to eliminate him. Oden and Dave Jumper battled and actually eliminated each other. El Archangel Eliminated Damian James Rieker only to be dumped over the top by the Bruiserweight Champion Professor Pain who won the title shot and a chance to be a double champion as Fusion went off the air!
